Previously our garden was an eyesore, neglected, unloved and totally overgrown with an old trampoline and shed. It looked terrible and it was a waste of what we now realise is, a lot of space!
Now we have a beautiful cedar clad summerhouse and it is a joy to look out on. I genuinely feel happy when I look down the garden. We have had so much use, entertaining and still now a breakaway haven for whenever we fancy some space. Since lockdown it has also become an office and a gym!
A short commute and being separate from the house has been a godsend. We love it!

Our garden building required the use of new building techniques for this customised project. A high level of carpentry skill was needed to complete the build. David built me a lovely shed a couple of years ago. At the time I called it a writing shed, but it has since been used for writing, art, revision and sound recording, It's a lovely looking thing and is somewhere for us to work quietly amidst birdsong. I had wanted something between George Bernard Shows famous writing shed, an Australian shack and a victorian railway waiting room. David helped me make sense of that and create something I really like.
