Does A Garden Room Need Planning Permission?
Usually garden rooms fall under permitted development and do not require planning permission. However there are exceptions due to what it will be used for, location, size and other considerations. For full details on this, our professional builders will advise and we recommend checking with your local council regulations.
How Long Does It Take To Build A Garden Room?
Depending on the scope of works, a typical build takes from 4 - 6 weeks. This includes the ground work, foundation, installation and the finishing work. We bring in trusted and certified electricians and plumbers when needed.
Are You Allowed To Sleep In A Garden
If you have a guest staying for a night on a pull out sofa bed, then that is okay. However if you want to use the garden room as an extra bedroom, then you will need planning permission and to comply with building regulations. This is for health and safety reasons like fire hazards, and waste water if plumbing is installed.
What Is The Process Of Getting A Garden Room Built?
We do a free site visit to your property. We chat with you and learn what you are requiring and how we can bring your ideas to life with our expertise. Upon agreeing on the design, the start date, and receipt of your deposit, the build will immediately commence.
What Insulation Is Used In A Garden Room?
At the time of constructing the garden room, insulation is also installed into the build. The foundation has a layer of insulation, and also in the walls and ceiling. The structure is airtight to keep the warmth in.
How Much Does A Garden Room Cost?
With the bespoke nature of our designs, we work with our client's requirements, along with the size and shape of the garden. We use only the finest quality materials that reflect our high standard of work. PRICES START FROM £25,000 for 4mx3m which includes insulation, electrical, plastering and painting, coloured uPVC joinery, and GRP fibreglass roof. Additional features such as decking, air conditioning, plumbing, bi-fold joinery, lighting, security are also available. We also collaborate with other suppliers for outdoor kitchens, bbq's, pizza ovens, hot tubs, security, home theatres so and much more!

David helped me make sense of that and create something I really like.
